Head Nurse Opportunity at Wilston Vet!
Wilston Vet is looking for an experienced Head Nurse to join our team! This full-time role offers a 4-day workweek, with one Saturday shift every three weeks and a day off in lieu. The position combines reception and surgery shifts, though it will mostly involve surgery and float duties, as we have a dedicated full-time receptionist.
The ideal candidate will be confident in all aspects of veterinary nursing, hold a Cert IV or Vet Tech Degree, and have at least 4 years of clinic experience. Our team is passionate, caring, and committed to providing the highest standard of care, and we’re looking for someone who shares these values.
Nurses at Wilston Vet are entrusted with a wide range of responsibilities, including nurse consults, blood collection, catheter placement, assisting with x-rays, dental cleanings, dental radiography, running in-house blood tests, and more.
To succeed in this role, you’ll need to be hardworking, highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to lead the day-to-day operations while collaborating with a dedicated team of like-minded professionals. Previous experience as a Head Nurse is preferred, but not essential.
